The staff here are absolutely nuts power tripping people that make the an absolutely negative place to go i recommend the doolys on fredericton north side best one hands down staff at the up town location treat the patrons in such a bad manner it is absolutely disgusting to treat person in the way they do

Just want to say, I've always enjoyed going to Doolys. Particularly the uptown location. However, my last trip in there was a very dissapointing one. We were asked for I.D, (which is fine. That's their job). So we all provided our I.D.
The two girls working there didn't approve of my friends I.D. She was waiting for her new one to come in, and used a government issued temporary I.D. The girls did not accept it.
So then, she provided them with her birth certificate. The girls didn't accept it. I mentioned that these are 2 forms of legitimate I.D, and they didn't care. They said we all have to prove we are of 19 years or older.
I said, "we did". Then I mentioned we aren't even here to drink, we aren't even here to play slot machines. We just want to use our free hour of pool from Christmas time. And that I can recall a time back when I was only 12 years old, and I'd be allowed in with my father to play pool, and it was never ever a problem back then.
Anyway. They said I was getting "heated", and they asked me to leave. I wasn't though. I was simply asking them a question. A question they didn't like. And didn't have an answer to. Far as I could tell, they are on a power trip, and are absolutely loving what little authority they have as a bartender. I was not "heated" at all.
When we got home, I called and had them end my membership. I've had my membership for a little over a decade. I will no longer support that place. It was the last good place in Fredericton to go out and socialize. Now it is ran by power tripping femenazis.
After not being allowed in public places for the last 2 years (due to covid), I have not really had any personal attachment to most places anymore anyways. I have my own pool table now, and wont be going back to that powertripping, woke, modernized pool hall.
Manners do not exist there. Just inflated egos of young women behind a counter who love telling people "NO".

My husband and I and another couple went out for a few drinks and a few games of pool...was a fun night....only negative thing was there should of been 2 people on the bar as there was long line ups

Definitely recommend!! Despite a couple previous reviews regarding a particular bartender, I know them all quite well and have always been treated with kindness and respect!! I guess you get what you give perhaps!!
